Worthless? I don't really think so. I personally think this looks very good.
However,
It would be nice to see something besides the 'standard overexposed white CG background' through the windows. Perhaps a skyscape or other structures adjacent to the apartment. If you went along that route, you could insert them into your scene and rerender to get subtle blue reflections instead of pure white.
I also think the pattern to the left of the window can be repositioned so it looks less like a wall in the mirror's reflection. Perhaps set its bottom at the top of the couch.
The TV seems a bit too reflective...you may consider toning it down just a bit.
Your composition looks great and the image looks pleasing, but these minor improvements will really make this look all the better.
